Welcome!

Dog are instinctually social. That’s why regular play with other dogs is beneficial!

Days at daycare are filled with opportunities for fun exercise, safe socialization with other dogs, and with our attentive team.

Your dog is a member of your family and they deserve quality care. Dogs are social creatures and daycare offers a safe social environment the same way a child benefits from playing and learning in groups. Daycare provides proper socialization, basic manners and exercise.

Daycare means a stress-free, guilt-free workday for you and provides an excellent way for your dog to socialize, and get exercise. They’ll be happy and relaxed after a day of playing in our indoor and outdoor play areas, and be content to just snuggle with you on the couch when they return home.

We offer a separate playroom, “grouped by size, personality and play style to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable”. One play space for the calm players, the seniors and the young puppies, and another for the wild and crazy, active bunch!

At Holiday Pet Care, your dog’s safety and well-being is our priority. Our professionally trained team of dog lover will care for your pup just as they would their own.

By coming to daycare at Holiday Pet Care, your canine family member will learn how to be a more well-mannered part of your world. By keeping active with their play friends this minimizes ill-behaviours and allows them to be more comfortable around other dogs and people.

At the end of the day each dog receives a report card telling you how well their day went and who their playmates were. With regular visits you can keep up with how they are developing socially.

Our safe and fun playrooms are designed with your dog’s exercise and comfort in mind. Each room is equipped with a medical-grade air filtration system found in medically facilities and doctors offices to minimize the spread of airborne viruses and helps in preventing the spread of the commonly known “kennel cough”.

Our playroom floors was specifically chosen to provide a comfortable surface on their joints and are easy to sanitize. We disinfect all surfaces three times per day and sanitize equipment daily with pet-safe cleaning products.

We support special diets and are pleased to provide refrigeration to be able to prepare RAW or BARF diets. Our team member are trained in Insulin injections, Sub-Q fluids. The administration of most other medications can be arranged

Our guests are not caged so your dog will never be left in a kennel, feeling abandoned and neglected.  Our staff stay in the playrooms with the dogs 24 hrs/day.

Each of our guests are carefully screened through our comprehensive Meet & Greet screening process to ensure that they play well with others and meet proper health requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Do They Do all Day?

Your dog will be socializing with dogs of similar personalities, getting lots of love and attention from our staff, going outside to our fully-fenced yard, for potty breaks every couple of hours, or during better weather, spending even more time relaxing, playing, climbing on playground, playing in the snow or splashing in the doggie-pool.

Are they kept all together?

We offer two separate playrooms, “grouped by size, personality and play style to make sure your dog is safe and comfortable”. One play space for the calm players, the seniors and the young puppies, and another for the wild and crazy, active bunch!

Playrooms are grouped to match their temperament to give your dog the best social experience possible. As they develop and/or their play preferences change, they may feel more comfortable in a different playroom.  We let them show us where they prefer to be.

How big are the rooms?

Our main level playroom for the smaller and senior dogs is about 1,000 sq ft.  The lower level for the more active bunch si about 1,400 sq ft.  Our outside fully fenced yard is about 1,000 sq ft.

Are you air conditioned (or heated)?

Absolutely!  The comfort of our guests is of utmost importance to us.  Our facility is climate-controlled, with special attention to the playrooms.  Having many heavy-breathers in one space can make this challenging, however because our 4-legged guests are our first priority, the climate-control systems that feed these rooms are specially allocated to keep the temperatures comfortable year-round.

Can My Dog Get Sick? Are they Safe?

Illness and injuries are always a risk whenever socializing your dog.  Just like when children play with other children, these issues can never be completely prevented.

That being said, our safe and fun playrooms are designed with your dog’s exercise and comfort in mind.

Our Holiday Pet Care team of dog care professionals provide quality care for your dog in a safe and supervised environment. Team members are required to go through an extensive training process. All our staff are certified  in Pet First Aid, and have passed our comprehensive Canine Behaviour & Care Training Program on dog body language and behavior, and group dog dynamics, as well as medication administration. This curriculum is designed by a team of veterinarians and a canine behavior specialist, who is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Pet Dog Trainers (CAPPDT), the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is a presenter for the Dog Gone Safe Dog Bite Prevention Program.

Dog parks are a great option for your dog to get its needs met yet the unpredictability of the types of dogs that will be there, the reliability that dogs will listen to their owners and if they are vaccinated and healthy making it questionable as to whether play is safe. Holiday Pet Care provides a fun and safe environment where dogs are fully supervised during play. Every staff member is extensively trained to prevent scuffles based on their skilled knowledge and understanding of canine body language and pack management.

Without the specific training to recognize what is appropriate, proper dog play can sometimes be stressful to monitor. Knowing the way dogs play is something we are expects at.  Play is constantly monitored by our skilled attendants who keep the environment fun and friendly for everyone.

Coming to daycare at Holiday Pet Care helps your dog become more comfortable around new dogs, people and situations. And with plenty of opportunity to exercise, there is the added benefits of reducing a host of health risks that can significantly affect the longevity of your furry family member.
